COMPREHENSIVE EYE EXAMS
A Comprehensive Eye Exam includes refraction (testing for a spectacle prescription) and a general evaluation of the health of your eyes.
We screen for diseases like diabetes, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and many others. In some cases, dilation is also performed.
Dilation consists of instilling drops into the eyes and waiting until the pupil, or the black part of the eye, becomes larger, so that the doctor can get a better look at the retina. Dilation helps screen for things like holes, tears, or even retinal detachments. At the end of the exam, you will receive a spectacle prescription. This service is covered by your vision insurance.
CONTACT LENS EXAMS
WE NOW OFFER SPECIALITY CONTACT LENS SERVICES- FROM SCLERALS TO ORTHO-K WE HAVE YOU COVERED!
With a Contact Lens Evaluation, besides receiving all the services under a Comprehensive Eye Exam, we will also assess if your eyes are healthy enough for contact lenses.
This includes assessment of your cornea, or the clear covering over the colored part of your eye (iris) to make sure there are no contraindications to contact lens wear.
We will also decide which contact lenses will fit best on your eye. A contact lens should not fit too tight or too loose, otherwise it may cause damage to the eye.
If you are a first time contact lens wearer, we will teach you how to insert, remove, and take care of your new lenses.
You will receive a spectacle prescription, a contact lens prescription, and a pair of contact lenses. This may be covered by your insurance
MEDICAL EYE EXAMS
From red eyes to metal in your eyes, we have you covered! We can examine you for red eyes, painful eyes, dry eyes, itchy eyes, or any other ocular concerns you may have. We also do superficial foreign body removals and diabetic eye exams. This is covered by your medical insurance and not vision.
